Use your smart phone or mobile device to enjoy the benefits of depositing checks into your accounts any time, from anywhere, with a few taps and camera clicks. Mobile Deposit is available through our Garden City Teachers FCU Mobile banking app for qualifying accounts at no charge.
Step 1: Endorse the check with your signature(s) and the words “For Mobile Deposit Only Garden City Teachers FCU”.
Step 2: Open your Garden City Teachers Federal FCU Mobile App and select “Mobile Deposit”.
Step 3: Select “Deposit Check” and select from the list of available accounts. Input the amount of the check.
Step 4: Tap “Front” to take a picture of the front of the check. Line-up the check image with the frame, and take the picture. Tap “Back” to take a picture of the back of the check. Line-up the check image with the frame, and take the picture.
Step 5: Select “Submit Deposit”.

Q: Are there any fees to use Mobile Deposit?
Mobile deposit is free of charge.
Q: When will my check be deposited?
Deposits on weekdays before 4:00pm will be deposited before the end of the business day. Deposits on weekdays after 4:00pm will be deposited before the end of the following business day. Deposits on weekends or holidays will be deposited before the end of the following business day.
Q: How long should I keep my check?
Keep your check in a safe place for 90 days following the confirmation of the deposit. Safely discard.
Q: How much can I deposit per transaction per day?
The remote deposit limit is $2,000 per transaction, $2,000 per day and $10,000 for every 30 days.
Q: How should I endorse the back of the check?
Endorse the check with your signature(s) and the words “For Mobile Deposit Only Garden City Teachers FCU” with no abbreviations or the check will be rejected.

Q: What do the status definitions mean?
Pending – The check image has been received and pending for review.
Accepted – The check image has been reviewed and accepted.
Posted – The check image has been reviewed and may be subject to a hold.
Rejected – The check image has been reviewed and rejected.
Q: Why are my funds subject to a hold?
Checks are automatically put on hold pending review. You will receive an email when the review is complete.
Insurance Checks – Large amounts or non-matching funds: 10 day hold
Personal Checks – Does not have matching funds: 2-7 day hold
Payroll Checks – Not held unless there are unusual circumstances.
Q: Why was my mobile deposit denied?
You will receive an email your deposit was denied. You may call us at 620-275-0131 for an explanation as to why.
